Business/Systems Analyst - contract and permanent - Thursday, January 24, 2008
Under minimal supervision, designs, analyzes, recommends and, where appropriated, implements computer hardware and software systems that support operational and administrative functions of assigned users. Defines business process improvements and specifications for new systems, products, and enhancements. Recommends business and IT process improvements. Defines business processes. Ensures technical design and development meets business needs.
* Excellent Business Analysis skills to interpret end user requirements and develop new processes * Excellent project management skills to plan, organize, and manage complex projects; * Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and priorities. * Demonstrated acquisition expertise to include budgeting, contracts, and inventory. Experience in developing and administering project and program budgets. * Demonstrated experience in the vendor selection process to include preparation and evaluation of Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. * Demonstrated superior analytical skills. Ability to evaluate analysis to determine the best value -added solution to match user requirements with work processes. * Ability to use standard Mac, PC, & Client Server applications. * Working knowledge of and experience in business process analysis and process re-engineering

Cognos Business Intelligence Analyst - Thursday, January 24, 2008
Application development responsibilities:
Creates and maintains packages with Framework Manager. Prepares and modifies cubes with Power Play Transformer. Creates and maintains reports with Report Studio. Prepares documentation on BI applications. Provides support to users for Corporate Business Intelligence applications, including PowerPlay Web 7.4; Cognos 8 Connect; Cognos 8 Query Studio; Cognos 8 Analysis Studio; Cognos 8 Event Studio.
Trains users on BI applications. Trouble-shoots report errors and access issues. Gathers business requirements for new projects. Works with business users and development team on new projects.
Skills and Knowledge: Must be proficient with the following tools from Cognos:

Microsoft Applications Engineer - Thursday, January 24, 2008
As an applications engineer, will be responsible for the following: Conducts code reviews and manages the daily activities of staff augmentation and/or consulting developers. Resolves questions and makes recommendations to project leaders and business analysts to address complex programming issues. Develops and codes complex programs using such programming languages as C#, JAVA, C++, .Net, SQL, HTML, Visual Basic. Codes, tests, debug, and document the application. Conducts code reviews and provides technical guidance to other application engineers and application developers.
Job Requirements * Ability to analyze complex programming requirements and assist ess experienced application engineers and/or developers. * Ability to analyze and code efficient business applications using required programming languages (C#, Java, .Net, SQL, HTML, XAML,etc.) * Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and priorities. * Demonstrated ability analyzing and troubleshooting software systems and correcting logic and design flaws. * Ability to design complex computer applications based on detailed specifications. * Working knowledge and experience with innovative information technology systems and concepts. * Knowledge and management skills employing AGILE/RAD/Waterfall Systems Development Life Cycle * Excellent team player and the ability to work with on-site, near-site and off-shore teams * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with technical and non-technical users, managers, vendors, and consultants

General Description
- Design, create, and maintain database-driven web-based applications
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Design and implement business rules logic, databases, web-based user interfaces, integration with different data sources
- Document user requirements, functional specifications, and program code
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (computer science or engineering preferred) or equivalent education and experience
- ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, relational databases, HTML, JavaScript, DOM, Crystal Reports, IIS, familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Ability to work comfortably and effectively within a distributed development team environment; self-motivated and goal oriented; good written and verbal skills
- Desired: Experience with n-tier/enterprise web-based application development/implementation, strong understanding of object-oriented programming, experience with MS Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer, understanding of security and encryption standards
